La Musa Verde

Tarapoto, founded in 1782 as Santa Cruz de los Motilones de Tarapoto, is a commercial hub town in the San Martín Province of the Department of San Martín of northern Peru. It is an hour by plane from Lima, in the high jungle plateau to the east of what is known as the selva baja. Although Moyobamba is the capital of the region, Tarapoto is the region's largest city and is linked to the Upper Amazon and the historic city of Yurimaguas by a relatively well-maintained transandean highway, paved in 2008–9.

One of the most popular landmarks in Tarapoto is the stunning Ahuashiyacu Waterfalls, which is a must-visit spot for nature lovers. The waterfall is located just a short drive from the city center and is surrounded by lush greenery and exotic wildlife. YOU can take a dip in the crystal-clear water or simply relax and enjoy the breathtaking views.

Another attraction that YOU can't miss in Tarapoto is the Laguna Azul, a beautiful lagoon surrounded by towering mountains and dense forests. The lagoon is perfect for swimming, kayaking, and even fishing. YOU can also hike in the surrounding areas and discover hidden waterfalls and natural pools.
